"79Cobra" old car??????????

It probably seems slow because of turbo lag and no msd two step and wrong gears. Its some work to get a turbo to work right with a 5 speed, if it was an automatic it would be a lot quicker. I called, I was interested, seems like an On3 Performance turbo kit, if it had a B&G turbo kit or Ponydown turbo kit, I would pick it up. Here are some details I got, stock cam which is great with a turbo, 4:10 gears which the turbo won't like, stock axles, Tremec T-5, ported stock heads, and Holley Systemax intake

The 4:10 gears is killing his power, he needs 3:55s or close to stock gears so the turbo will have time to load.

I really don't what it's worth but if it had a B&G or Ponydown turbo kit, it would be worth close to what he is asking to me considering those kits go for $3K plus new.

Alright here goes a noob question. 4.10's would mean the car tops out at lower speeds but give the getyup quicker oppose to like 3.27 would top out higher speeds but slower getyup?

Yup and the longer gear would give the car more time to spool and would haul more ass on the freeway and would be friendlier with the turbo. 4.10s would be Better for juice or all motor.

How would my 3.73's do with boost? Or would it be better to 3.55 up?

I like the PDP turbo kits, the stage 3 kits are very similar to that of the HP performance kits. What I like even more is that they sell their hot parts separately so you can piece together one of their kits if you dont have 3k to shell out all at once. I've talked with the the fellas at PDP and even though they don't have their cold parts listed on their website, they do have the kits available with or without their intercooler. Really cool guys and good customer service.

That's what I did, I pieced it out. I have the stage 2 kit. I like it very simple to install, just need to trim the driver side sway bar mount. And like stated before those 4:10s are killing that car.
