Thinking about taking my girl on a nice hike and lunch for valentines day followed by a nice wine and dinner pairing. Anybody know of some nice trails during this time of the year that aren't too extreme? Doesn't matter what area it's in.

its a bit of a drive, but windy hills preserve off of 84 has some really nice vistas that overlook most of the southbay. They aren't too far from the trailhead if you start on skyline.
Haven't hiked the eastbay though... [ February 10, 2012, 05:33 PM: Message edited by: Farrell ]

I'm actually in the valley now Tracy area. She's in San Jose, but any area in northern cali works. Probably stay somewhere for the weekend too.

if she is in san jose, windy hills isnt too far. when you leave, you take a left on 84 instead of right (the way you came) and it takes you out to highway one about 15 mins from half moon bay which has a few nice places to eat and some nice little inns.
Its kind of dark because the sun was setting, but this is one of the views from the trail. [ February 10, 2012, 05:40 PM: Message edited by: Farrell ]

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Windy hills looks like a pretty good spot. Should give us time afterwards to wash up for dinner too.
