I just did an alarm the other day on some guys Integra. I got to BS'n with the guy, and turns out he's an ex-car thief, turned jesus freak. I asked him what kind of things turned him away from stealing one car or another. He first told me when he was gacked out, it didnt matter he, would just steal. But when he was being more careful, he would usually pass the car with flashing LED's, knowing he had more of a chance bringing attention to himself if that alarm goes off, then the car up the block with nothing. Alarms are very easily bypassed, but at 3am, the siren (and horn honk if applicable) going off for 30 seconds before its disabled, will bring attention, and possibly keep you from asking mom to drive you to work in the morning.

I'd get the Auto-lock before the alarm.
If you want to step it up the GPS devices are good too.

get a damn thick chain about 10 feet long at home depot, and a big ass masterlock (not the ones from walgreens) and wrap it around your axle or thru your wheel, and a beam or a pole or another car, bike..whatever
that is just on top of having an alarm, club, kill switch, etc...

my friend had a really expensive viper alarm on his, motion sensors all around the car, would even show you what sensors were tripped via a diagram of a car on the remote, they must have drilled his battery (it was wired to the main battery) so if you want your high tech alarms to work you reallly need a hidden alternate battery. they even shut off his main power breaker to his house as to not trip the motion light, I think he got taken by pros.

I agree, its deff a deturrent, its cheaper then most mods that people are putting on these cars but cant fork up like $250-300 and the reason that these cars are being stolen is because (easy picking)
if i was a car thief and saw a car with an alarm id reconsider fukin with that one....PLUS IT A PIECE OF MIND

I think alarm, kill switch, removable steering wheel and foot pedal lock and even a big chain are good ways to make a car thief think twice.
