Topic: I got to drive this last night!

2007 Lamborghini Gallardo AWD
My GF's Sisters Husband owns this car. We went over to their house to see their new born baby and say congrats etc. I was talking to my GF's brother in law and just casually asked "so, when are you gonna let me check out the Lamborghini?" He says "Lets go check it out." As soon as we go to the garage he opens the garage door and says "Wanna take it for a spin", so of course I say Yeah! He pulls it out of the driveway to make sure it doesnt scrape, gives me a quick run down of how the paddle shifters work etc and then says "have fun see you soon" I was like "aren't you gonna go with me?" he says "no, don't worry about it, but make sure to go get on the freeway and open it up a bit."
Long story short I drove around for about 15 miles with one freeway trip and opened up a lot on the freeway ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Ya I'd like to see this thing with a power adder for sure. Revving up to 8k on the freeway was pure insanity in this car. Not quite as fast as I had imagined, but it was no slouch

Yeah fortunately he's very generous and makes really good $, so he wasn't too worried about it. He told me specifically to open it up. I told him how fast I went and he was like "Man I never had the balls to go that fast" and then he proceeded to ask me all about it lol how smooth was it going that fast etc

He's chinese, and I'm white, so I'd gather that they like him better, but then again they don't speak english, so I have no clue. They don't seem like the type of people that care too much about money. They care a great deal about family etc

I thought about it, but seeing as how I was driving a car that goes for $150k I didn't even want to look at my phone while driving. I was a littler nervous at first because everything was so much different than I'm used to. I've had quite few cars, but none exotic. The paddle shifters were pretty cool and it has what almost feels like a stall converter. While sitting at a light in 1st you can let your foot off the brake and the car won't go anywhere. Gotta give it some gas and rev it before it'll start to move.

Thanks. I never in a million years thought I'd get to. Any other time I've seen a lamborghini it's been at a car show on the other side of the ropes that keep you away right next to the signs that say don't touch.

I was actually thinking how much nicer he is than I am. Made me feel like an ass because I was just sitting there thinking "man I probably wouldn't have let him drive my 5.0 unattended"
