The first round of mods, which was lowering it, taking care of the wheel hope, adding the grill, tint (all for apearance), E85 tune and slicks/skinnies I was hoping would net an 11.99 @114. The record *was* 11.8 @114. 11.7 @116 the first day out with a DA of 1900ft, I could not be happier.
I can take out some weight, wait for good air and see how close to the 10's I can get on a STOCK drive train, or do intake/exhaust and go for 10's. It's up in the air right now. The whole point of this car is to show case what we can with the same mods any customer can do. Most do intake/exhaust/tune.....but I already have custom camshafts designed! LOL

I can't wait to see the progress on this car! I have been seriously thinking of trying the new 5.0 in my car. Any power adders in the future, or will it stay N/A?

You should do the swap. You'd probably run 120-121mph with a stock 5.0 under the hood of a Fox.
This project is ALL-MOTOR.

Im doin all this work to my coupe to try and get into the 11's and this thing does it rightnout the box... Solid.
Is the rear ends still c-clip axles? What about the transmission, is it the same as 2011?
I just seen in the new hot rod mag, ford makes a s/c for it that outputs almost 600 rwhp, and retains the factory warranty, just thought id through that out there.
I want one....

Excellent Shawn!
Do you have an estimate for how much more power you can squeeze out of a 2012 GT on E85 tuned compared to 91 octance tuned? Also where is E85 sold and how much is it per gallon?
I'm not too familiar with E85, but read this on wikipedia:
"E85 has an octane rating higher than that of regular gasoline's typical rating of 87, or premium gasoline's 91-93. This allows it to be used in higher-compression engines, which tend to produce more power per unit of displacement than their gasoline counterparts. The Renewable Fuels Foundation states in its Changes in Gasoline IV manual, "There is no requirement to post octane on an E85 dispenser. If a retailer chooses to post octane, they should be aware that the often cited 105 octane is incorrect. This number was derived by using ethanol’s blending octane value in gasoline. This is not the proper way to calculate the octane of E85. Ethanol’s true octane value should be used to calculate E85’s octane value. This results in an octane range of 94-96 (R+M)/2. These calculations have been confirmed by actual-octane engine tests." [ September 15, 2011, 10:58 AM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]

E85 gave it a whapping 13HP increase. But I'm running it for more than the increase in power...
Last time I filled up it was $3.39/gal. You can do a search for E85 stations near you.
I can go back to regular gas any time by draining the E and changing the tune.
