Topic: Raptor or Boss 302?

It looks like I've got a decision to make. I've been lusting after a Boss 302 in the worst way and I've found one with the options I want for $42K... about $1500 under sticker. Unfortunately, that would mean I'd be parting with the Raptor. I do need a tow vehicle and the Raptor is the far more practical and comfortable of the two (especially with two kids). Clearly, the Boss would be faster and more fun to drive.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?

Dave the obvious answer here is to tell you that you would be cheating not only yourself but your children if you didn't get the BOSS. They deserve to experience another chapter of mustang history. <~ that almost sounds good enough to tell your wife if she asks why!

How much of a loss will you take on the truck?

Well, most people paid a healthy markup for these trucks and pricing on the used market is strong. I'm seeing trucks with 20k miles on them and fewer options with asking prices more than I paid for mine new. I haven't seen a used 2011 Supercrew priced lower than what I bought mine for. Granted, these are asking prices but dealers are still gouging people on Raptors so I'd likely get at least what I paid for it and maybe a bit more. Tax & license would be the primary hit.

BOSS! I'm considering one myself. Did you see the BOSS segment on the Speed Channel? It's almost an entirely different car from the base GT.

Wait for the 2013 BOSS..Me personally im waiting until the LA Auto show in Nov to see what changes are happening to the 5.0. supposedly a refresh with diffrent rear and gt500 front end cues.
The 2013 boss is supposs to come in more colors and more gadget options hid,etc.

The more I think about it, I'll probably wait for the second year just like I did with the Raptor.

After riding in the Raptor I have a new appreciation for it. But I haven't been around a new Boss yet.
