trying to see what little mods can i do to my mustang 1982 its already a 5speed normaly came 4speed and its completely stock please help?

if you're trying to be "legit" as far as smog is concerned, I'd go convert it to the later 4v intake manifold and carb setup off the 83-85 5.0s, some of the emission stuff will definitely need some revision, but I did it on my 82 GT and it passed the sniffer and visual. I also did a true dual exhaust conversion on mine. another thing that is a bit more involved but well worth the time and effort would be replacing the heads with the E7s off the later Mustangs and even better would be the GT40s.

covert it to the 85 exhuast. only 85 exhuast header have the heat risers on them and you'll need them for smog. that will help alot. then like at1mav said, covert it to the 83-85 intake set up. or used a eddie perfromer intake that has a egr.. if you have the funds & skills get a roller motor & install the 85 stuff on your car.. going from 157hp to 215hp is a nice jump in power..
