If it's a vert you should use a sealed box. It sounds cleaner.

Make sure you dont have the box all the way in when you drop the top or this will happen

What are the recommended dimensions of the box for that sub? U might be able to build one, its pretty easy.

I built a box for 4 12s in my convertible before it got stolen and stripped and found in San Leandro on Oriel st. Anyway it was 48"L x 12" tall the bottom was also 12" but the top has to be longer I think 14" because the back of the box was 8" so the trunk could close but it was sealed and it had dividers. Oh and I had to take out the latch and the weather stripping and the hindges have to go, haha but people could hear me before they would see me on the freeway. And it won't go too far in to break the window I wish I had pics but like I said fuck in theives have it. One day I'll find out who it was....

By the way that looks 2 12zs could fit bck there.. But my battery is relocated to the trunk so only one 12 would fit(maybe a 15) lol... Im gonna get the dimensions and build my own box.. Anyone know how much that MDF(or wat ever its called).. How much it cost??

I used 5/8 or 3/4 it all depends on how heavy the subs are maybe 1" on the face because I've vibrated screws out and had to use nuts and bolts. One of my friends told me about this he called it MDFF which was finer saw dust compressed into boards. I used it on the face board and the regular MDF on the rest of the box and I went to Homedepot and bought a 4'x8 and had them cut it into 1/4s so I could fit into the car I think it cost like 12 or 15 bucks. 1 sheet wasn't enough so I got 1 1/2 sheets.

dont forget to use caulking to make it nice and sealed...and when u drill holes for the screws, make sure they are tapered.
