ive been watching top gear on bbc america for a while now. so im watching old episodes and saw a couple with mustangs. so first they said there gonna test drive the "new" 2005 mustang gt. then they pull out a v6 and take it around the track and talk about how slow it is, I THINK HE REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS A GT. then they take a gt500 out and decide to strap it to dyno, it made 4sumthn and started laffn about how a gt500 only made 4 sumthn. have they never heard of the difference btwn HP at the flywheel and RWHP? i thought these were car guys? then this asshole took a sharpie to the sidestripe and wrote "almost" after the 500. then he said you shud just a classic mustang like his bullitt. his "bullitt" was blue with white stripes. somebody please tell me they were kidding or something. rant over.

It's part of their routine to rip on big American cars. It's a car/comedy show, don't get all butthurt about it. Compared to some of the cars they review the Mustang is pretty archaic. Jeremy owns a Ford GT and loves it. They love the ZR-1 and the Focus RS, but hate Porsches. A lot of companies catch flak on that show, it's what makes it funny.

ill be interested to hear what they have to say about the 2011 on the next season. either way those guys are biased as f*ck, but its what make the show fun. One of my favorites

holy shit you mean to tell me that guys on the British Broadcasting Channel are biased against anything American? no wai!
wait until you see the episode where Jeremy reviews the lightning, 90% of his complaints are because of the shitty quality of the right hand drive conversion, lol.

Right? Say it ain't so.....
If you don't get British humor then maybe you shouldn't be watching the show.

They also love american cars because they have a "proper manual gearbox" instead of a "flappy paddle gearbox" Captain Slow cracks me up.
