I also would like to know.. they are local to me... from my experiences they are stand up guys but dang their prices are strictly by the computer!!!!!! I'm not asking for a super deal but they tend to not work with anyone on the price.. they do good work though... my car will be needing a tune within a few weeks once i get everything installed.. I will most likely be bringing mine down to TPS in Campbell, since they will be doing most of my work.. don't want to have work done at one shop and tuning at another, sound like a headache already..

unless Ditos lowers the prices!!!!!

Someone should talk to them about opening up a CAfords account and giving us board members a hook up since they are the only shop on this part of the Peninsula that does dyno tuning..

+1000 they should have discount for cafords board members. Dittos does do really good work but man it is def pricey. I always wondered who that cobra belonged to.. It's been there forever. But with those numbers it seems you've got what you have been waiting for.

Yea I have.. even shops that have a good rep will work with customers a little.. I guess they just have constant customers so they think they can continue to not budge..

A shop that works with you on the pricing will only open more doors up to themselves...

Now a days they have to compete for our business.. welcome to the "Recession"

SAV SVT,
That's a sick ride bro. What kind of headers are you running? What about the clutch and transmission?

Never heard of Dito's before, so I checked their website out of curiosity. Their prices don't seem high at all: labor rate $85/hour, SCT tuning $190/hour.

Most places charge $100/hour for labor, some give discounts to $80-85.

Are you guys talking about the retail prices of the products they sell?

On a side note, anyone greatly affected in this recession and is struggling, has no business taking their car into a performance shop and throwing down cash, just my humble opinion.

I'm not saying they charge a lot hourly.. just that regardless of the actual time spent working on the car they will charge you the maximum that the computer will allow..

ex. changing of a dang header gasket on a 5.0 will take about 30 mins tops, they will charger 2 hours of labor..

But they are a good shop don't get me wrong.. they have some nice cars coming outta there.. Next time I swing by there i'll ask if they are interested in a CAfords dyno deal... they charged $600 for supercharged tunes.. yes, i know thats about the going rate but whats wrong with a hook up for people who will bring you endless business like CAFORDS is known for doing..

Ok gotcha ... that makes sense. Prices will definitely be higher in that regard.

I have been going to Ditos for 9 years with every car I have ever owned. They did all the work on my car from motor, suspension, rear end, tune. Rob is the Main Tuner and is very knowledgeable. You should stop in check the place out. Its a really nice shop that does Great work!

Yea Its spend some time there LOL, its a long story. I ended up taking Ford to small claims court because they would not warranty a motor that failed. So that took some time gettin that done. I won, got cashed out then started to build. They have done all the work to my car I have never brought my car to a diffrent shop. I was just bein sarcastic about the 600 HP Club just wanted to get you guys attention. But Ill roll with anybody I dont descriminate you could be in a 88 4 cyl I still Roll!!

Yea I hear you on that. I been goin to Ditos for 9 years. They used to be open from 6pm to midnight back in the day. There prices are up there but so is there quality of work. I get little deals here and there but thats probably because I been goin there since day 1. I could talk to them about the cafords account see what they think. [patriot]

Cafords is known for it's endless supply of cheap ass people, always looking for a "hook up". Kinda like you. I went to a shop last year to have my head gaskets replaced, the guy gave me 3 free dyno runs after he was done because I didn't bitch or haggle about the price. He was really sick of mustang owners coming in looking for a hook up. It's a business, they are in it to make money. If you can't afford the services hit the road.

Ok Mr. Big Money Money... I'm not asking for stuff for cheap bro.. for example I have countless friends who go to their shop and they have yet to budge on pricing.. I'm not looking for 50% or even 25% off..

just a little bit of "Return Business" pricing..

say they charge normally 500 for N/A tunes and 600 for FI tunes.. canthey give me a FI tune for the price of a N/A tune??

or they replace something and it only takes 30 mins to do, can they charge me just for those 30 mins not the full hour..

little things like that will go a long way..

I'm not another broke CAFORDS member buddy.. I will pay the right price only if the price is right... as you can see, I am local to Ditos, but their prices aren't right so my car will be brought to a shop an hour away...

Thanks man appricate the feed back. Im running JBA shortys believe it or not LOL. The Tranny is a built 5 speed, clutch is a spec stage 2. I think the cluth is the weak point in the car thinking of upgrading.

Here is a dyno vid of it all motor full mod list on vid

Thanks Bro, I need to put a cage in befor I see some track time. Thats next on the list that never ends LOL.
I would strongly recommend a full cage. I did a 6 point roll bar in my old car and in a roll over it wouldnt have helped much, also considering the amount of power your running.
Its awesome having a convertible! Part that sucks the most is when you go to the track they kick you out if you dont have all the safety gear. I found myself stuck because I had a low 10second convertible that I couldnt run on the track because it was "too" fast to run under the radar even with a 6 point roll bar.
May not look too "cool" but might save some frustration in the future.
Good luck with what you decide and please post some more pics! [Big Grin]
