I could appreciate a big sound system, mostly because I have a decent step up in my car...
but that's a little too much. How can someone even enjoy the music with all that rattling and body flexing going on?

It looked like he was running two Rockford Fosgate 1000 watt amps.
If you're thinking of running a W7 I would suggest adding an 1000 watt amp to ensure you're sub isn't over working your amp and for your amp to not under power the sub.
I'm running two JL Audio W6's with one 1000 watt amp and it's performing pretty well so far.

2 10 L5s in my fox was plenty. Now I run 1 10 Polk DXI, actually sounds decent for being in a truck box.

I have an MTX 9500 12" which according to specs is better then a W7 and that cracked my trunk latch off and I had to have it welded on then it cracked the sheet metal around the welds so I had it re-welded and I tool the sub out. Ohh and the amp I had for that was a 1501D MTX amp which had an RMS rating of like 1250 wats at 2 ohms and the amp was 1 ohm stable.

Exactly! I don't understand why people like the rattling the car makes. I like a big sound system which is tuned properly in order to enjoy the music...not a big sound system to only hear rattling.
