its alot simpler to stick a blower on a mustang than a turbo. Its been done, but there isnt as many complete kits out there without alot of custom work to be done. Also no turbo kits that I know of that have a carb #

Sorry for the long post!
I prefer the traditional supercharger for V8s and turbo for the imports. Used to have a Turbo Integra back in the day takin 5.0s and N/A Cobras. It was nice being a real sleeper.
But there are pros and cons to everything.
Turbo is more expensive, less reliable in the sense that its exhaust driven, has turbo lag depending on the turbo size, need an electronic boost controller for consistant boost. BUT...spooling sounds and blowoff sounds are always loud and nice, and I like that a turbo acts as a muffler and actually quiets down your car down a bit and lets people hear what counts!
The only real 'con' to supercharging is just not as much hp as turbo. But on 'streetable' hp...theyre pretty much the same, the only difference where I see turbo has a hp advantage is up in the 900rwhp+ where dudes with $$ do the Hellion TT kits. I think it's preference. Because if you say turbo sounds better than a blower, eh...idk...Kenne Bell can scream pretty loud, sounds like a devil.
I think it's BOSS32V here on CAFORDS has a massive snail and pullin 700+rw, and you'll see a couple KB Cobras on youtube putting high 600s...preference.
Go with compound boost. MM&FF got a STOCK 03 Cobra, twin'ed it and left the blower and got over 1100rw...
I know some of you have seen this before...check out the dyno sheet at the end of that album.

Take two of the same car..... Add a supercharger to one and a turbo to the other. At the same boost level and there is no comparison between the two. Turbo > Supercharger
