I was wondering if anyone on the site has a Ipad....how do you like it? Do you like it more then a laptop.... What is iPad all about. Just any general information would be great...thanks.

The only reason why I ask because is I just bought one and I think it's the shit so far. But I do I have a laptop. I'm typing all this from it.

Ipad is a luxury item. If you want a new toy and have money to burn you'll enjoy it. It's an awesome device to ticker with. But it's not an item that you can really justify.
It won't replace anything that you already have. It's too heavy and battery life sucks too much to replace an e-reader. It's underpowered and does not have a physical keyboard to replace a laptop. It's too big to replace a PDA or phone.
But it's f-ing awesome to browse while on the couch or to bring on those airplane rides.

I made a thread about Ipad's a couple months ago asking the same thing. As stated above, its a luxury item and not a device that will take the place of lap top. I had two lap tops before purchasing one and I don't regret it.

Its pretty cool we have 2 of them. We mainly use them for development purpose. But if you travel alot or want a lot of attention at Barnes and Noble then get one.
Not sure I'd buy one just to buy it.

I didn't buy one to just buy one. My roommate knew a girl that had one and she needed money so I bought it. Its a 16gb one and I bought it 300.00 looks brand new.
