Drove 3 hours each way to Redding to drop off the Saleen for a new paintjob. Sticking with the original color which is Dark Shadow Blue Metallic (7N). I couldnt really find any good pictures online so maybe we have other members with this color that can show it off!

Are you going to put back all the decals or leave it "sleeper?" I think you should put back the stickers as thats what gives a authentic saleen the true "saleen feel"

I'm actually torn on this part, there are 3 different styles of stickers i can go with. The older version with the fatter stripes and the cowboy looking Saleen windshield decal, the original, or the SSC look I like which is not correct but i think looks cool. Then I saw the black #319 on here the other day and I like the sleeper look too. I'm probably going to run the sleeper look at first and then ad the decals later if I choose to. Im leaning the most towards the original decals because in 89 they switched from the thick stripes to the stripes i have now and my car could possibly have been the first car with these stripes.

This looks like it is the dark shadow metallic because it has that green tint to it. I love this color! Check the door sticker and it should say 7N as the exterior paint code. Apparently its a difficult color to find. How much you selling the drop for? [ September 02, 2010, 05:30 PM: Message edited by: Yaterstang ]

I would stick with the original decals just because I'm the type of guy that likes to kep it original and don't like mismatching but that just me....

Holy crap, you could have made 2X or 3X as much if they were the real ARE's. There are some knockoffs out there that are cheaper but still look as good.

Maybe I'll check the tag this weekend, it's sitting in the garage under a car cover right now.
we're selling it for $3k, it has a dark blue top also, although it needs replacing I've never seen another one with the same color combo, let alone as clean as ours.

Its not a common color combo at all. They only had the paint scheme on foxes in 88 and 89.

I don't remember mine being called shadow blue If I remember right the color was "twilight blue" on my LX hatch. I think it might be the same.

Streetfighter, check your door tag and find out what the exterior paint code is. This color only came out in 88 and 89.

Its almost as bad as black, but its got a definite green tint to it in direct sunlight. Then when its night time, its definitely a dark blue. I'm hoping that ill have some great pictures of it once its been painted.

you're not kidding, every few years I have to spend a couple weekends in a row with the DA to polish out the paint on the `vert.
