my pops owes american express 35k. He hurt himself at work so he is only receiving a small check right now and can no longer afford some bills espcially this!
long story short, he is being sued by american express, their lawyers sent a letter something about court but i dont know excatly what it is for or what it means. should he worry? whats the worst they can do?

They can garnish wages, and thats exactly what they are trying to do. Have him show up in court, tell his sob story and how much he makes and they will only be able to take a small amount from him. Go to the local law library and ask for help or check this out. You will need to file a response otherwise they automatically win.

ya he HAD really good credit and a high limit on the card I think 50k its cuz he would buy and pay EVERYTHING with it that's y he owes so much. That's what happens when u play rich, bites u in the ass later on
