i want to get some red put onto my valve covers does anyone on here paint valve covers? pm me we will talk more. and dont i need a high temp paiint?

I bought some cobra ones that were painted black ...I skuffed them down re painted them then sanded the top so the lines and the logos are metal finish clean...and I got them for cheap

Definitely use high temp and use some acetone or a good alcohol wash to be sure all the dirt and oil is gone once you finish sanding it. A very light coat of sandable or self etching primer will help be sure paint adheres to the metal also. If your going for a glossy look then a little clear coat will make them easier to clean and protect the paint chipping or from damage from oils or other fluids that may get on it

Get em powder coated. Arron T-top50 did a set that looked just like that. Came out extra clean he just did my whole top half of my engine powder coated black. He can also polish the fins for you.

well he playa priced me because I had hella stuff powder coated. Best to contact him directly. But I can say he prices wont be beat and the outcome is topnotch.
