Awesome video!
The best part MJ still went out while he was on top which means a bunch of things (even though he was playing on the Wizards at the end). MJ is one of the few basketball players that DID NOT end up broke or bankrupt after the NBA career was over Check out http://23race.com/jordansuzuki.html. You might get to see him at one of the AMA races...watch the videos..the dude can ride:) [ June 21, 2010, 04:32 PM: Message edited by: CobramanPhil ]

This is how I break it down.
MJ = G.O.A.T Tenacious, Electrifying, Entertaining and possesses all intangibles. As time went on there was no flaw in his game
Kobe Great in his own way. No doubt best player in the league for the last few years. Boring to watch, not electrifying at all. Not very tenacious either. No above the rim game at all, mastered the pump-fake and step back jumper.
LBJ All around most gifted with pure athleticism. Very electrifying to watch. Poor sport and very cocky, but only when winning. Pretty low basketball IQ.
All in all I do not think either will reach the level that MJ had. MJ was just so damn all around. But time will tell and those other guys just may be great in their own way like was said.

Jordan is, and always will be, hands down, the greatest basketball player Regardless of who comes into the league, no one can or will match up to Jordan's talent. No one.

Durant is taller than them, but by no means bigger. He has the frame of a pre-teen. I like Durant tho. But he is super-un-proven product.

I've been telling this to anyone who will listen for the past several years. You can see it in his eyes and his actions.
To say that there will never be anyone like Michael is a bit naive imho. The game, as we know it, has been around for what 30-40 yrs? And I am not talking about the age where centers were white guys who were 6'5" and wore canvas shoes.
There will be another Michael, just a matter of time.

I still watch basketball but it is not the same for me as it was in the 80's and 90's.
Now saying there will never be another Jordan I think you need to look at it from different angles. I feel there may be someone that has the same skill level. On that note I think you can not measure his success solely on his skill level. I dont't think there will ever be another Jordan that has those skills, the attitude, commands the same respect, makes other around him better, internal drive and carries himself the way he did. There are players that have some of those but in a complete package I think would be hard to duplicate. I may be bias because I feel like I grew up with me being 10 when he came in to the league. IMO the best there ever was and most likely ever will be based on the traits I said. How many people can you watch the same clips over and over and still be amazed. Plus the entire game of basketball has changed. [ June 24, 2010, 02:16 AM: Message edited by: Dag302 ]

How many years does the NBA have left to find someone who during their era has Michael's "skills, the attitude, commands the same respect, makes other around him better, internal drive and carries himself the way he did?"
Hundreds? Thousands? Hundred thousands? Millions?
There will be someone more impressive than Michael. I guarantee it, like George from the Men's Warehouse, lol.

Yea man, people who really follow the game or play the game see it easily. I have gotten into huge arguments with friends over this. People get hooked into his hype so much and his come from behind blocks to realize that he actually blew 20 or so plays in a game...lol. Very gifted athlete, but he really has to become a student to the game. Right now he just out athleticizes everyone. That wont last.
