so i know im gonna get a lot of people that are gonna be negative like when scott traded his cobra in but oh well.. i like the car other than the color and thats not that big of deal to change for me as i run a paint and body shop!
anyway i traded my 2001 cobra strait across for this 2001 Lexus IS300 with a long list of mods. it was a HIN show car from the previous owner. the caronly has 116k miles on odometer while my cobra read 197k on the clock so resale value is much higher on the lex! i was just over having a daily driver mustang/ manual trans in general plus i have 2 kids and this is way more comfy for a family ride...anyway here is a pic of what it did look like...
and when i got it i pulled all the ugly ass emblems off and the ugly window visor things..lol now it looks better.

You are a better man than me. I could not drive that car without feeling a major sense of embarassment. No hard feelings, just being honest.
These guys might appreciate it more than us though:

What's funny is some of these guys will climb into a different type of car and find out what they've been missing. That's the exact reason I got rid of the Cobra to get a Bimmer that was 2 years older and almost twice the mileage, a decision I don't regret one bit.

Its a nice show car type car. People do need to realize theres way better cars out there then mustangs. My next car is probably going to be an evo or sti. Call it a "rice rocket" all you want but most of those cars will destroy most v8s witth ease

yes its a nice show type car for the right person. personally id go with something that had less flash to it but then again, im in my early 30s and would rather drive a old fart luxury car.

Evo's and sti's are fast, but they still get walked. Come across a same model year zo6, cobra, cts-v or what have you with similar mods and I doubt the amount of destruction will be great...

I like IS's and have owned a few Lexus. I'm not feeling it though. Just my opinion, Should have kept the window visors. IS300 is a very reliable car and I'm sure you could sell it but it's to ones taste. It's not the color for me necessarily, more to with having the rear bumper molded to the body and fenders molded to the front bumper. However I do like the shaved moldings off the doors.

Rip off that hideous body kit, paint it black and you've made a good trade
