looking for some recommendations on a bay area lake to boat. looking for a place that has some good rentals that aren't prehistoric or falling apart. I've been to Lake Sonoma and thats a cool spot. Looking for other similar lakes. Thanks

You should check out lake camanche (blue oaks camp site, tiers 1 or 2..its a group camp site) this is where our car club usually goes..it's nice! lake in front of your camp site and no wake zone in front of campsite.

I was at Lake Camanche 2 weeks ago, water was so warm we were wakeboarding at 730 in the morning. The lake was like glass most of the weekend.
Lake Almanor is good size lake but gets pretty choppy in the afternoon. Ice house is real relaxing and one of my favorites.
Has anyone been to Union Valley Resivoir? Going next week.
Folsom lake sucks. Water was up high enough I launched at the beach on Sunday, but still real cold. By afternoon the water gets so choppy its not fun.

I was out on the Delta this past weekend at ski beach and it was off the hook...
The American river up here in Sacramento on any weekend is a party..
Union valley is cool boarding and cheap and warm.
