Hi folks, my GF and I will be traveling to Maui and Oahu (3 days each) this summer for a friend's destination wedding. While we are there, it would be awesome to get some recommendations from you guys on what to do, what sites to see, what tours to go on, etc.
If you can recommend any of the following, it would be greatly appreciated!
- Restaurants/Luau - Nightlife - Day Trips - Entertainment (Parasailing, swimming/snorkling, Ocean rafting,etc)
We will be going on the road to hana in Maui, but other than that, it is wide open!
Look forward to hearing your feedback. :salute:

Because you can go to Hawaii and not be kiddnapped because your American. Plus your keeping your money in America. I like the beaches better. It sucks the black sand beach is gone in Hawaii. I like snorkling on old Volcanos, swimming with the turtles, going to the active Volcanos and flying in a helicopter over the one currently errupting.

When we went to Maui Kihei we did the Volcano sunrise bike ride. That's was pretty fun, you need to get up pretty early like 2am. You meet up at this place to ride a shuttle that has a bunch of mountain bikes. Drive up the the volcano which takes a while. It's well worth, trust me! After the sunrise you come down on bikes all downhill and can stop for breakfast in the middle of the bike ride. Here is a better trip report:

senor frogs was popping its right my the waikiki hilton.
Also check out hanama (sp?) bay.
I rented a mustang convertible and drove around the entire island. It was awesome!
If you do that stop at Giovannis shrimp truck. You cant miss it. It is in North shore area and marked on the Enterprise rental car map as a landmark. It is a beat up ass taco truck but man they make the best shrimp there and I have been around the world trying shrimp when I was in the air force so take it for what its worth!
Also watch that nasty ass hawaii sun. Man I tan great and never burn but that fuckin hawaii sun got me good!
Oh and last thing...go on a booze cruise, even if you dont drink. It is a katamaran that leaves the shore before sunset and its like 20 bux, all you can drink. I seen 3 sea turtles while out on it!

Head to the North shore & pay attention to the beach on the side of the highway as you're nearing Turtle Bay.
There is a colony of Sea Turtles that are always on the beach. Locals Volunteer to watch over them, but you're allowed to get very close and actually snorkel around them. One of the 200+lbers nearly knocked me over.
Oddly enough, I also found racerx (Lee) on the same beach. PM him...he may know the name of the beach.

On Oahu make sure you do a day trip to the north shore and check out the beaches on that side of the island. They are really nice and not as touristry as Wikiki.
Also, hit one of the "shrimp trucks" on the north shore for some tasty shimps over rice.
Sunday afternoon stop by Dukes for some drinks and good scenary.

don't know to much about oahu, havent been there in ages but it seems like everyone and their momma goes there. but i would recommend hanuima bay for the snorkeling although it can get packed and the cruises are cool, the aka booze cruise"
in maui, i would recommend for sure bogey boarding down in kihei beach are, but watch out for jelly fish, riptides, and currents, (they can be strong). Also kapalua bay in maui is absolutely gorgeous - a must see, its north of kanapali. lahaina is a chill spot for some drinks and seafood. lastly molokini is fun, but make sure to take a bigger boat as the waves on a small boat there can make you seriously seasick. the turtles there are cool! have fun.
