Topic: Need tips when inspecting an 03/04 cobra

probably should have posted this earlier. going to go look at one today. I need any and all tips on what to look for as far as problem or indications of a pulley swap. Let me know what to look for in terms of how the transmission should feel, IRS should look, noises at idle or anything that would show it was modded

Look for shit stains on both front seats. I know know someone crapped their pants from all that power

make sure the irs isnt leaking. Make sur ethere isnt a noticable tick from the heads, and look at all the pullies. Some dudes will throw the stock upper back and and claim never been pullied but then they leave the aux pullies sets on...... lol Who does all the pullies except the upper. lol

look in the truck for holes on the floor and through the carpet...ive seen alot of cars go up for sale and no one mentions it was sprayed...just sayin

Make sure you do a real test drive, don't just take it around the block. Make sure you take it into boost and it doesn't hesitate and Drive it like you would drive your fox. Also make sure it does not have the famous "stall issue." Also carfax that sucker, don't trust what the seller tells you. Hope this helps.

T, might be worth buying the carfax. I have found it nearly impossible to find people willing to hook me up since carfax stopped doing unlimited monthly checks.

I looked at it. Its not ready to be sold. And not for that price. Has some issues the new owner would definitely have to fix
