Turbo Charger -
Makes more power due to less parasitic loss
Make boost faster then a centri- supercharger
sounds better
Less stress on the crank snout as well
Boost is easier to adjust
oh ya and somewhere I did hear that it works like Viagra and also make your wang bigger [ April 15, 2010, 06:27 PM: Message edited by: 90gtvert ]

Hands down the turbo FTW!!! But, living in the great state of Comyfornia if you have to smog your choices of carb aproved turbo systems is very slim.

A properly sized turbo for your setup will boost faster/earlier then any Centri-Supercharger I know of...

Turbo's are better hands down! but lots of people go with superchargers just because they are cheaper and easier to install. I would say save your money and Twin Turbo your car!
Good luck

I like the sound of a Super Charger and super chargers seem more like American muscle then Twin Turbo..... Twin Turbos remind me of imports (which there is nothing wrong with imports)

Turbo for sure. Not only will it more or less be capable of making more power but its more usable power as well as far more customizable also.. For instance for traction, its far easier to make a car a faster car when you can dial in more boost up top and help keep the down low tq from lighting the tires up and not sacrificing top end. Along with that you have the option of swapping hotsides for faster spool or more top end, and once you have all the manifolds and such you can always benefit from swapping the turbo when technology changes and such.
If I was building a drift car or something then I would say yeah a SC might be a better choice, but when building a car to actually go fast.. Turbo all the way.

Again it depends. Blowers are cheaper, easier to install, are smog legal, and will make great power.
Turbos are more efficient than superchargers and will make shit tons of power. Also, they have have the "cool" factor going for them.
The answer is still "it depends". You can easily make 450 rwhp with a supercharged 331 and 8lbs of boost. You can probably make over 500 with turbos.
Racerx is a good guy to talk to about the pros and cons of both

I prefer Turbo over Supercharger but it all comes down to what kind of racing you plan on doing in the car.
