both are really nice and i have seen yours in person. man do what is going to make you happy. and i also feel you on the smog laws. where you been man hope all is good.

The only reason I'd think of doing it is because smog issues. The Cobra needs tuned and that's about it but the smog still lingers in the picture. If it was as simple as passing every 2 years then no big deal but with all the cops sending people to the ref it's a huge gamble to drive it. Some people just say fuck it but once they get caught its a whole different story.

an 8# pulley on a stock block lightning is asking for problems. To be honest anything over 4# is playing on borrowed time. I've seen many with this amount of boost go straight onto the freeway stab it and boom.

Thanks Tee, where have you been???? I actually moved closer to you, sold the pizza place and have a actual M-F job.

Parting with the car will be hard when/if I ever do. It will have to be the right situation and the right car. The major issue with this truck is that it is across the country.

My major reason other than always wanting a lighting is that I NEVER drive it. It has been non-op for a couple years and have not wanted to deal with the smog. The most driving it has got other than pulling it in or out of the garage is when I moved 15 miles to a new house!!!

How is trading a modded cobra for a modded lightning going to make smog time any easier? I'd keep the cobra, unless you need a truck(though I think a harley davidson f150 would be a better choice than a lightning).

don't sell it Dave, but if you need the lightning then don't trade for a 99 or 00, bad heads for sure!

Thanks for the input. I will probably just keep it. I am sure I would feel different if I could just get it smogged and drive it.

I would trade it for a newer lightning but these years have bad heads and other issues that were worked out in the later years. Still, i would have a hard time giving up a 93 cobra for many different vehicles. I would save up than trading it for any other vehicle. I have an 04 and love the truck cause i can do so much with it, but the Cobra i think is on a different level in my mind.
