sounds good and the price is reasonable but pics are way too small. dude doesnt have larger pics of the car and sounds like a punk kid that would be driving it through the side shows in oakland. [ March 25, 2010, 06:31 PM: Message edited by: venomous99 ]

how do you "know" its been swung a lot? Are you judging it just because of how it looks, ie: paint color, rims, etc? I'm sure ALL used mustangs on craigslist have been swung or seen a burn out at least once or twice, so please enlighten me...
Back to the topic... I'd pick it up for that price if the interior is as clean as the exterior. Kinda reminds me of the orange used on my old "SF Giants Coupe" Looks like a good deal if you compare it to all the ghetto coupes on CL nowadays

Pretty much. Its in the bay area, its a coupe, its got a flashy paint job. Theres a good good chance its been at a few sideshows. I will not touch a fox body thats in the bay area unless it has a 50+ year old owner. Thats just my opinion so leave it at that. [ March 25, 2010, 07:21 PM: Message edited by: BladeX10 ]

You're from Loomis (where ever that is)...I think you need to come out of your shell and open your eyes! Not all cars in the bay area are beat on, nor do all of them go to the sideshow. I know exactly what your thinking too...candy paint + chrome rims = ghetto sideshow car...but on the contrary, I know of a few coupes with chrome and candy and the owners are far from ghetto. My old coupe had chrome and candy and I'm not ghetto, nor was the cop/police officer (OPD) that owned it before me! So, I think if you're going to be this paranoid about "nice/clean" cars, you might as well stick to your $700 projects that need $10K+ worth of work to be on the same level as cars similar to the one in the ad. Now, this is MY OPINION, so lets leave it at THAT. [ March 25, 2010, 07:52 PM: Message edited by: SydeWaySix ]

Lol at that. New tranny= 500 bucks, new fender and headlight support=100 bucks. 1300 bucks all together so try again.
Im staying away from fox bodies all together because 95% of them are ragged POS. especially those in the bay area. Ive seen the "sideshows" and shit out there. I know what people put those cars through.

and i never said all fox bodies are beat on. I'm saying a good amount of them are. So dont get your panties in a bunch. Its my money. I can do whatever i want with it. If i decide i dont want to buy some flashy fox body because i have a feeling its been beat on then thats my choice and not yours. I'd MUCH rather have a unmolested car that i know that hasnt been ragged and swung at every corner and if you have a problem with it. I can care less [ March 25, 2010, 08:27 PM: Message edited by: BladeX10 ]

Its a weak opinion but it sure has saved me from buying a beat down piece of shit.
Oh and let me tell a short story. I went to look at a 88GT and the owner was saying the car is perfect and was never abused. I was buying it and he went into the house and left the little 4 year old girl outside with me and she said "Daddy and me did circles in parking lots!" I didnt think nothing of it until i bought it home and looked at it and noticed the car is leaning to the left pretty low and the torque boxes where bent to shit.
Thats what made me make that "weak opinion" and im sticking by it. [ March 25, 2010, 08:37 PM: Message edited by: BladeX10 ]

Well theres 2 things I gotta say:
1. you got fucked over and should have checked it before you bought it
2. dont judge a book by its cover! If you have such strong opinions about this car, go look at it in person and then give your opinion.
With that being said, not all cars in the Bay Area are sideshow cars just because of their paint, rims, or whatever characteristics you used to assume this is a beat up car. Its just not cool...especially since this car looks tits and REAL mustang enthusiasts can agree with me!

I think the car is awesome and i would definetely buy it if i had the extra money but i would have been superrrrrrrrrrrrr cautious and probably had it taken to a shop to have it looked over but i'm in the process of buying a 2003 cobra so i have to keep my funds for the downpayment.
