CHP trying to identify Ford Mustang driver killed speeding on I-80

EMERYVILLE — The California Highway Patrol believes speed may have been a factor in a crash on Interstate Highway 80 in Emeryville Tuesday night that killed one person and blocked traffic for more than two hours, a CHP officer said.
Emergency units responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound I-80 just west of Ashby Avenue at about 11:20 p.m., CHP Officer Sam Morgan said.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of a 1988 Ford Mustang was heading east when he abruptly changed lanes and clipped another vehicle, Morgan said. The Mustang, which appears to have been speeding, spun out of control and came to rest facing oncoming traffic.
A Nissan Frontier crashed head-on into the stopped Mustang, killing the driver, Morgan said.
Additional cars traveling east were unable to avoid the collision, Morgan said. Two Toyota Camrys, a Mercury Mariner and possibly another vehicle subsequently crashed into the disabled cars.
No other injuries were reported, Morgan said.
The Alameda County coroner's bureau was called to the scene just after midnight.
The CHP did not find any documents identifying the driver who was killed, Morgan said.
The crash site was cleared at around 1:20 a.m.
It was not immediately known whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.

i was coming home eastbound near berkely at around 9:30ish hit hercules exit sometime before 10:00 and saw 5 or 6 chp full lights flying down westbound not sure if this was reletaed cus reports says happened around 11:00.

so the kid was 17 or 18 and owned the car for three days, first mustang and yes it was a coupe!
stangsally joey sold the car to him and the kid had not registered the car in his name yet. the cops showed up at joeys house (joey being the piece of shit that he is immediately thought they were there for him for all the dirty shit hes done to others) and ask for joeys mommy to tell her he had died since he was still the registered owner.

fuckin wow i thought that was a fatal accident! i work at a bar in SF and live in berkeley off ashby; i was comin home just before midnight and just hit emeryville on I80 and banked left and was one exit from ashby when all the traffic was stopped and it ended up taking me fifteen minutes to get to university ave (the next exit after ashby which was closed then) then i passed the accident scene and saw the burgandy notch completely fucked from the front, it looked like it was clean as hell but the thing was completely fuckin crumpled, literally half the length it used to be just fuckin sad

again i need to clear the STORYS OF FR50
yes the coupe was a original owner car
the kid had the car for less than 24hrs
it was not his first mustang he told me
he had a vert at home but wanted a coupe
him and his buddys came up, liked it, bought
it the cops came to my house because the kid
had no id the only thing on him was a
bill-of-sale with my info in which the kid had his buddy fill-out so they came to my house in hope i could help identify or had any info on
him or his buddys this is very sad for the kid
and his family i wish his family the best
and again fr50 you really are a class-act.
