Don't act like a stupid mother fucker by blowing a fortune on a worthless and overpriced school like UTI. Plus, UTI graduates are not only broke, but they are as dumb as a rock as well. Second, don't be fooled by the fancy UTI ads in the car magazines that show young punks working on Ford GT super cars. This is fantasy, not reality Third, out of all the skilled trades like electrical, plumbing and elevator repair, auto mechanics have the lowest wages and the highest cost for tools and equipment, not to mention the "flat rate" pay system that a lot of shops use so I would think long and hard about your career choice. If you really want to become a diesel tech, I would recommend applying to a Junior college automotive program.

^^Someone still has his bicycle pump wedge up his ass! A really good friend of mine went to the Phoenix facility and then proceeded to go to the Mercedes program. At the age of 23 he was making 60k a year. Now at the age of 27, he makes well over 85k a year (bring home). [ March 08, 2010, 04:46 PM: Message edited by: Blue92 ]

I highly doubt 70k but I know there is a lot of money invested. Everything is paid off now and when the trucks show up, he TRIES to find something to buy. Also, his dealership provides a few of the "specialty tools".
