is having no front plate still a fix-it-ticket deal? i remember years ago, if you got caught with no front plate, a cop would write you up. you could either pay the fine or get it fixed and pay a small fine. is it still the same way or did it changed?

They need to pull over all the z06's... When was the last time you seen a front plate on a corvette?

Dude seriously, I never thought about that but now that you mention it... wtf
Maybe corvette owners are just more financially capable of paying tickets for that offense [ December 27, 2009, 06:20 PM: Message edited by: 90FoX ]

When I got pulled over for no front plate among other things, the cop mentioned even the vettes have to have one even though none of them do. So, sounds like to me they get as much heat as we do. I'm sure we all bitch and whine the same though

dustin, I remember that lol.
I drove around with no front plates from 97-09.
Got pulled for it once (when I displayed it in the passenger side corner fo the windshield). That must of caught his attention.
I was not too upset considering that I had the Off-road H at the time on my 87GT lol

NONE of the vettes up here have front plates but, most of the mustang crowd that I've talked to have all been pinched for not have a front plate. I think the reason for the vettes getting away with it up here is at least 1 of the local cops is a member of their particular club. I had a CHP pull me over for not having one but, instead of giving me a ticket for that I got a ticket for not having updated address on the DL. He was a car guy too.

Same thing happened with my wifes Mustang in Berkley when it was parked. Hard up for money in that city I guess. I just consider it a no-front-plate tax, pay the $25 and leave the plate off.
