I think Kimbo is out of his league. Although I can say after watching him on Ultimate Fighter, he is less scary to me. I'd like to have a beer with that guy.

i have to say this season was the most entertaining especially the dynamics between rampage and rashad. its a shame those guys arent going to fight in the immediate future.
kimbo came off pretty cool on the show and its just too bad he's starting at the tail-end of a fighting career cuz i really think he mightve been something if he came into the sport earlier..its all good. he's making his bread. LOL theyre fighting at a catch weight of 215 but funny thing is alexander weighed in at 208 while kimbo was 212.

I knew Kimbo was all hype, but he seems to be a stand up guy. i don't see him going anywhere in the UFC. I am hoping Roy loses that dude is way too fat

I was a kimbo hater before TUF, but i like the guy now. Im pulling for him, not to be the champ or the best or what not , but id like to see him have a nice UFC career atleast . He and Houston are fighting at 205 from what i saw on UFC .com a day or two ago.
edit my bad i just checked the ufc fight card on their site and Kimbo & Houston are fighting at 215! [ December 05, 2009, 02:05 PM: Message edited by: 04cobra408 ]

Sad thing is, is that Kimbo's ground game is better then Houston's.
I foresee either guy getting KTFO, but there is an off the wall chanc that kimbo submits and/or GNP houston out.

Perfect matchup for Kimbo. He is a class act, and hopefully he has a long career in the UFC... but I see Houston knocking him out tonight.

why are most people kimbo haters? he is doing everything he needs to become a legit fighter.. he is training at att.. with world class guys.. but i do love the fact that he is to big of a ratings draw for dana to pass him up... and it's great that the put him up against someone with as much ground game as kimbo..

Damm we still gor Kimbo harers on here.
The dude has heart, motivation & dedication. How many backyard fighters that you know that was locked up in prison for years and made it onto UFC then onto a TV series?
Kimbo can be your next local Police Officer if he wants to be. The guy is a true example of "if you have a dream, pursue it"
Kimbo all the way - I don't care if he loses or wins, the dude is a respectful, stand-up, full of motivation cat.

When kimbo was on the tonight show a couple months ago, he talked about when he was street fighting, he did that to make some extra money to have for his kids. lol. he has two boys & a girl. i got nothing but respect for that, if i was kimbo and they asked me to fight in mma i would say yes too. at least his not cocky just confident. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

First, I am definitely a Kimbo fan. I recognize his weaknesses in MMA and by no means do I consider him a "good" MMA fighter.
However, he has beaten some incredible odds, has heart and motivation, is able to be coached (very important), and has a very formidable stand-up attack.
I enjoy watching him fight and I do think he will improve with time. As said above, unfortunatley he has already accumulated the years, and it may be a too little too late sort of thing.
As far as the Kimbo haters... In my experience, most of the Kimbo haters are not hatin on Kimbo himself, but rather hating on the Kimbo supporters who are promoting him as a "great" fighter, which he is not by any stretch of the imagination.
Nevertheless, Kimbo's story is interesting and I will continue to watch
