not so much of a rogers fan, i just think the time is now for fedor to step down and if he absorbs those punches like he did w/ AA against rogers it should be a early night.
i dont think shields can do much at 170 either..his stand-up is far too suspect and his only chance to do damage is if he gets the fight to the ground. hes having a good win streak now but thats partly due to being in a weak division outside of the UFC. put him up against thiago alves and see his ass get torn a new one.

Is anybody watching the free CBS strikeforce on TV. When they're fighting it gets pretty blurry. Is it my tv or what? When I push format on the panny remote it says H-fill and on the directv format says 1080i + original format. Thanks

did you see the same fight I did? Roger's spent a good amount of the 1st round on his back or in various submission attempts....he did get 3 or 4 good punches in but only because Fedor set him up on the 5th punch for an armbar which Roger's barely escaped...
The punch he took in the 2nd flattened him out and he COVERED up because he could't defend himself....not one time during the exchange when Roger's was on top was Fedor in that kind of trouble....
the excuse machines will come out because of this fight.....and Rogers is much bigger than Fedor as well but looks like he got tossed to the ground a few times as well.....And Roger's standup is better than Lesnar's.....so how again would Lesnar beat Fedor?....
Sorry you couldn't see past the fact that your 1 hope in StrikeForce got destroyed like all the others...

fight was stopped correctly. rogers curled up into a defenseless position when he got clocked. when fedor was getting nailed in the 1st round, he was moving actively to show defense.
roger does seem to have a good upside to a pretty decent future. good fight overall. got my moneys worth ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

The fight was not even close to bieng stopped in the first round. Fedor was defending himself and even going for a heel hook.
Rogers was out and not defending himself.
End of story.
Fedor > Brock Lesnar.
Dont get me wrong Lesnar is a beast but would most likely make a mistake and fedor would pull an arm off.

no doubt fedor is a bad ass and is p4p for a reason but sooner than not, he will fall. im calling it now...overeem by ko whenever he and fedor fight. rogers gave him a good challenge and got caught like all the other 31 victims..LOL
