so i need to buy some new tools for my job this weekend, basically need an impact driver drill and sawzall. saw in the sears ad they have the 19.2 volt cordless stuff on sale. have any of you guys used these, if so how do you like em and how did they hold up, its pretty much between these and dewalt, i know delwalt is the better of the 2 but i wont be beating the hell out of the tools everyday. any input would be great

I picked up a craftsmen 19.2v drill kit, came with 2 batteries, case, charger, has an LED light on the handle and a level, the light shines where you're drilling. Works great but I've only had it a couple months.
It replaced my 12v dewalt which the battery took a shit and I didn't want to spend the $30 rebuilding it.
the craftsmen kit was $53 from twice is nice in half moon bay, store return or something.

craftsman hand tools are good but their power tools are not the best. go with either Dewalt or Makita for power tools.

But in the long run craftsmen has lifetime warranty right? Or is that only on hand tools?
If it is life time warranty on the power tools then you will always be able to get a new one if the one you have takes a shit on ya... I think that warranty is worth strongly considering them... I have a air compressor from craftsmen and am very pleased with it, except for the very under powered impact gun

Craftsman hand tools are the only ones with a lifetime warranty...and it's only a warranty to replace with "like" items, they don't have to give you a "new" replacement, it can be a rebuilt item.
I'd go with Makita. Pay a lil more now, or buy stuff again later.

For a good sawzall i would go with the milwaukee, its the OG and the best. Craftsman power tools suck!, yes they aren't as spendy, but if you are in the trades you will run them into the ground in a hurry. Dewalt, Makita, Bosch all quality tools. I feel that Makita makes the best drill/drivers.

I agree the best sawzall is a Milwaukee and a dewalt for hand power tools heavy duty stuff use the Milwaukee brand holds up to what ever Job you throw at it for wrenches use the craftman tools for the liftime warranty they don't have lifetime warrantys for powertools just extended warrantys that you pay for

Dewalt now it a POS. They are owned by Black and decker now. Older dewalt tools are a the shit they last forever. I just burnt up my 300 dollar Dewalt Hammer drill on friday, and now im SOL because my boss wont buy me a new one. Lucky my foreman had an extra one he gave me. Next weekend im buying a Makita Impact and drill set. My sawzall is good still thank god. A few of my coworkers buy Craftsman combo kits around this time for real cheap they last for the year then its time for a new one. IDK what your using it for but dewalt stuff is heavy too. Not fun when your on the last step of a 16ft ladder and trying to strap up 2in EMT to the ceiling.

makita bro, don't kid urself, I've had both (dewalt), and you can't fuck with the makita 18v Li-Ion. The only thing i like about the dewalt, is the sawzall because it's just so much more violent for demoing shit out.
