Topic: Comcast (lack of ) install

I have been trying to have Comcast installed in my Fair Oaks home for the last three weeks. They keep sending installers to the house (3 times) but have not upgraded the hub across the street to accept phone/internet/video. After each aborted install , I call customer service and am promised the issue will be handled asap.
Has anyone else had such terrible service ? I am impressed by the speed of their internet but am disgusted by the service. Has anyone had any experience with ATT U-verse ? The installers I spoke with had Direct-TV for TV and Comcast for internet Any input would be helpful.

yes sir try surewest, when i had comcast my internet would be down all the time. once i got surewest i have no issues. Tey have great customer service.

My Comcast high speed wireless internet isn't all that great, it goes on & off all the time. I was kinda pissed the other day too, a comcast tech was installing cable at a house across the street, & since my house has the little green cable post thing on my lawn, the tech had to take the top off of it. Well no big deal there, until I got home at 9pm & noticed that the dickhead never put the cover back on it. Lazy F##K!!!!!

yup... I hate comcast. I had them for 2 years and finally shut them down. They were always late for appointments. I now have ATT uverse. Its cool you just have to get use to the new channels and they do have more channels in HD. There internet is cool. What i like about them more is that there is no channels lag like comcast had. and when you channel surf it has picture in picture so you can see whats on the other channel.

I actually love comcast because you can call them up every 6 months and get the going special so essentially never pay full price..lol. But their installers are lazy as fuck. Especially the ones that use their own vehicles (I think they are sub contracted).
ATT Uverse isnt available everywhere and their wireless sucks monkey teets. I am always at my mother in laws house fixing the ATT crappy equipment. But their TV setup has some pretty nice features.

Thanks for all the input. It looks like Surewest is not available in my area (near Del Campo High School)so maybe ATT Uverse may be my only other option at the moment. Now I remember why I cancelled Comcast 10 years ago.

i live right next to Del Campo High School to and i have att, ive never had any problem at all for the last 4 years. not even a reset ever! att is a good choice trust me.

You have a construction issue. Those are never easy. They take a while b/c they go through a 3rd party. If your not getting answers, escalate to a supervisor when you call in. Comcast functions just like any other company. Things don't go perfect all the time.
