Just spent 21 days in Klamath National Forest wilderness dong fire use/supression on a lightning fire. I think I've lost 20lbs cause I have a full 6 pack now. Steepest terrain I've ever hiked, 70% slopes, one step foreward two steps back lol. I had fun though, had to run from the fire a couple times, saw 150ft tall trees torch and shoot flames 200ft above its top. Got water dumped on me from a helocopter, our crew got the nick name Line hogs cause we would steal all the fire line from other crews. When I get home I am ordering all the parts I need to finish the FB, made a shitload of money.

That's sick.... Good to see you and none of the guys in your crew were hurt bad. What do you still need to get for the fastback?

I was wondering where you went. Did you get my text? I hauled some trailers out to Watsonville last weekend for the Santa Cruz fire. Was trying to look for you, but you know how that is, hard to find one person in a few thousand dudes all dressed the same. Good to know your back home safe!

Right on bro! Friend of mine is a wildland firefighter. He came back a few months ago after being out for a week and brought home almost 10,000 bucks. Granted he only works a few weeks out of the year for right now, but a fat ass check's always nice!

Yeah I can honetly say I got my ass kicked on those hikes. When we hiked into the fire we didn't have a helo to bring our stuff in so we all carried 100lbs on our backs.
I am not home yet, just coming into the station now. I will post pics tonight

thank you. Its intense fighting fires, always super hot especially if the flame lengths are tall. The day we had to run from the fire i could smell my hair burning, both sides of my face hurt from the heat, it was our second spot fire that jumped our handline the first one i caught the second one the flames immediately went to 10 feet tall and i was standing right in its way. Bushes infront of it would catch on fire without the flames even touching them. I had good clean cool black 20 feet from where i started attacking the head of the fire. Once my squadie yelled get into the black i moved over there quickly. Our spot fire burned 5 acres that night, we caught it the next day.
