I have a 98 GT that I purchased back in 02 that I've put a large amount of money in, but it has been sitting garaged and unused for the past 3 years needing small repair work. I finally got it fixed back up and am looking to sell it, but have no idea what it’s worth anymore in the market. Performance: -------------------------- Naturally aspirated RWHP: 303 * TRQ: 333
*Vehicle wasn’t running right at the time and since has been fixed. I’d imagine these numbers are even higher
Any pricing suggestions on the vehicle? Below are the specs: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 98 GT - Laser Red
Aesthetics/Misc. - Black Cowl induction hood - Corbeau front seats - Clifford IG8000 (motion sensor, shock sensor, proximity sensor, window control on remote) - Black taillights akin to Saleen - Projector Headlamps - 5% Rear Tinting - 30% Front Tinting - BBK Chrome Valve Covers - Saleen replica wheels (18X9) - White gauge faces
Engine - 4.6 Stroked to 5.0 with .030 overbore (fully blueprinted) - Chipped and tuned on the dyno - Forged Pistons (Flat Top - 11:1 compression) - Pacific Performance 2V heads (from Ford F150 casting) - CNC Porting - 5 angle valve job - .5mm oversized exhaust valves - High pressure valve springs - Comtek Head Gaskets - Comp Cams XE262AH Cams (Stage I) - ARP Main Studs - ARP Head Studs - Ford Racing High Volume Oil Pump - 30# Injectors - 255LPH Fuel Pump - Fox Lake intake manifold with manifold spacers (not P-51, it’s a PI manifold with adapter plates) - Accufab 75mm Throttle body - Accufab Plenum - Steeda 180 Degree Thermostat - Underdrive pulleys - BBK Long Tube Headers - 02 Extenders/Mil Eliminators - Aluminum flywheel - Centerforce II Clutch - MAC Cold Air - Ford Lightning 90mm MAF - BBK Off-Road H-Pipe - Full catback
Suspension, etc. - D&D Tubular K-Member - D&D Tubular A-Arms - Adjustable coilovers - 4.10 gears - Drilled/Slotted rotors (stock size) - Flaming River Steering Shaft (to clear LT headers) - Steeda AC Eliminator Kit - Steed Clutch Quandrant and cable
Any help in pricing this would be appreciated!

post pics! Also, although you have a lot of work done to it, from experience, the 96-98 GT's are not really wanted in the enthusiast scene. I'd say a clean all stock gt would go for about the same as your highly modded gt just because most people want these cars for daily drivers rather than "race" cars.
Without seeing pics, I'd say it'd go for about $5-6k.

One thing for sure, the price it will pull in this economy will no doubt be a let down. May be better trading it or parting it. But even that requires work.
In any event, good luck I would like to see pics as well. If you part it I am interested in the rear light

Man u got a lot of money invested into that car. I wouldn't just give it away. However the market for 96-98 gt's isn't too great. Yours makes good power though and I wouldn't let it go for less than 7.

I agree...the car looks great and it seems that you have a lot in the motor alone. Your best bet would to just part the motor or just keep it. Like I said earlier, these models are the least wanted mustangs for enthusiasts. Good luck with the sale and let us know what you end up listing it for. If youre realistically looking to get more than $6500, I'd say you'd probably want to wait for the economy to go back up...

I sold my 97 for $1,700... 120k miles, intake, pulley's, offroad x, magnapacks, shifter, 3.73's, eibach springs, brembo rotors hawk pads, msd wires, ngk plugs, MIL eliminators, DR's, clean body, Bullitt interior, clean title.
I mean, ask what you want, but it's a buyers market right now... especially for 96-98 GT's...
IMHO, part it out... [ June 15, 2009, 02:22 AM: Message edited by: 04 S281 ]

Just for fun, here are some pics of the original engine build up, Only exterior items (like valve covers) and cams have since been changed:

Yeah man parting it out might be your best bet if u really can't find a buyer. Personally though I never found it too appealing to tear apart something I devoted so much time and money into building. Now If you had built that thing the same way but it was a 4v..................
