not tech section.. but anyways [Roll Eyes] try calling bennet racing. they will custom you a cam.. that would be best for your combo. at custom cam prices nowadays you can't go wrong with 1.

p.s. go roller cam..

Tell you what GUY, I'm one of the Tech Mods and I have no problem giving advice or input on setups when all the info is there. For you to chime in with "I want a badass cam that has a gnarly lope and makes hella power yadadadada" is a fuckin' broad statement. How about including WHY you want to change your cam. Post up something useful like your actual combo, not "built 351w lots of compression, full comp valve train w/ 1.6 rr, windsor heads, vic jr intake, all arp, nice fuel system setup" and I guarantee you'll get a USEFUL answer. Just a heads up, that's how these forums work.

No one gives a shit? You're joking, right? I'm on this board 3-4 times a DAY, as I'm sure many are, and answer each and every tech question that I can. Not to mention the 10-15 PMs I get daily from those who don't want to post up their questions.

And, as stated, if budget is becoming a issue, you may want to re-think your combo....

EDIT: the coupe you posted a video of has something in the 280 duration/.580ish lift range. To be honest, it sounds alot like a 11.5:1 motor with a TFS stage 2 cam. Run a cam with around 282-286 duration, .570-580 lift, idle set at 1000, and you will have the same sound. I hope your setup is at least 11:1 CR. Remember though, you will not have the throttle response of a roller setup, so keep that in mind.

ok..ive posted many topics in tech and didnt get shit back...but seems like when i post in gen talk i get a huge feedback and usually get a good answer like u just gave me(not to mention a shit load of haters but thats not the concern)..and budget is only an issue when im constantly changing shit up...the car hasnt even fired yet because the fuckin idiots at the machine shop (not droping names or buisness) fucked up an put a 302 cam in my motor...which gave me the wrong firing order which = no start..so now i gotta change my cam..i just dont see the need to change my setup to roller when all i gotta do is change my camshaft,i want the flat tappet setup its a strictly race car..and for the broad statements..wasnt in the mood for a huge thread but here goes..

357w stock rods/crank...11.5:1 kb forged pistons, windsor sr. heads w/ comp 1.6 rr and comp valve springs, comp pusrods, comp flat tappet lifters, comp cam w/106 cl and not sure on specs (wrong one 302),vic jr intake (ported),all arp, full msd ignition, bbk 1 3/4 long tubes w/ 3 inch x pipe and mufflers, holley 750,5spd,and 373 gears..and a fuel system to match it perfect...

now is that what your lookin for?? seems some tension which i was not lookin for but yes i shouldve started this thread differently..thank u for the cam help i think i got was i was lookin for in your last reply on that notchback...dont want neg. feedback just needed help..already cars drivin me up the walls... Run a cam in the area that I suggested. If you'd like, call up Comp or Crane and see what they'd recommend.

And for your current cam, if it's the specs you want...swap your plug wires around to the specific firing order, that will fix the firing order issue.

no the grind of the cam profile is completely wrong.. we took the valve covers off and the cap/wires and seen where the rotor sat to the valves opening and closing and it was way off...

if their paying. drop the extra 200-300 and get roller lifters...if they are paying for a cam. all you need to buy is the lifters for the install. try to get the lifters if you can. it will ramp up so much faster.. you won't regret it. [patriot]

Hey SIC9250....

I will trade you some good cam specs for one of your "locker" 8.8's.... or maybe some "Eagle" rods???

Before you come on here with an attitude, maybe you should be more respectful towards other members, and the moderators... I bet you would get some better results.

Myself and many others on here would love to hear your side of the story on the car you sold.... or at least hear that you took care of the guy you screwed over...

Let's grow up a little huh???
