They told me they now only offer one or two day stickers. People have been abusing the temporary reg tag & the state is in need of money. I don't wrk in the field offices or reg unit anymore but I believe now they charge a fee for a temporary tag. In the area of $50. I think now all they give is a moving permit long enough for u to go get it smogged & make it back 2 dmv.
