FYI...you cant play Russian Roulet with a semi auto, it has to be a revolver and semi automatic guns dont have clips, they use magazines.. And whenever you have an "instructional" video on a gun, you should always show that the chamber is clear before you do anything. Walther makes some good fire arms. That particular model is has an excellent rep. If this one idiot really swayed your decision I think you should do a little more research.

It was a joke. The joke about using a semi-auto for Russian roulette was that with his P22 it would jam if he tried to fire it.

I wouldn't spend that much for a .22 anyway..

Why a .22? Tried to buy a Ruger .22 22/45 for .45 practice but I rented and shot it and thought I was shooting an airsoft gun.

I didn't watch the video but I'm guessing they are talking about the walther p22 if that's so I own that gun, it's great for shooting paper but you just have to buy the "expensive" ammo ($20 for 400 rounds!!) definately not good for penis enlargement factor though... [Smile] fun range gun but if it came down to it I'd rather use a .040 since it has more knockdown power!

.40 Is a damn good caliber. On average the bullet travels much faster than a .45 and still packs a ton of stopping power. I have both .40 and .45 caliber guns and to protect my life, I depend on the .40's.

All the above calibers will do the job. But if you want a semi-auto in the best caliber get a 10mm. [Big Grin] [Wink]

I have seen the p22 in the store for about $318. For a .40 caliber i would go with a Glock 27. Love that gun! Nice compact size. Shit i might eather go with the glock 27 .40 caliber or the taurus millenium pt145 .45 caliber.

they are basically just a cheeper version of the Berettas, Taurus bought some of the old molds and machines from Berettas to make there own my friend had a Taurus 9mm and it was not a bad gun, just always looked and felt like a cheeper gun IMO

yah it was just my opinion. i know a lot of law enforcement and gov use the 40 cal, but i know that some brands of 40 cal have had problems with slop between the bullet case and the handgun barrel design which causes a jam. but chances are low. and for home protection and what not imo anything bigger than a 9mm is a good choice. i just bought a marlin 45/70 lever for pig hunting get it any day cant wait.

anything bigger than a 9mm?????? im lost, the 9mm is the best accuracy and punch pound for pound. I get it if you have no aim and youre shooting at paper like 15 feet away!!!!!

89foxstang, I dont know why your dogging the stopping power of a .22, cuz its a damn good shot. Ill bet anyone would turn and run the other way if there getting shot at by even a bb gun, let alone a .22!!!!!

+1

most people would rather get shot by a 9mm than a .22 cuz a 9mm will most likely go through u, and a .22 could get stuck in u and bounce around and jack u up worse than if a 9mm goes straight through u
