Recieved this email from a relative today. Read up.
-Subject: Giving Our Homes to Obama-
Hi Gang,
This month showed the biggest loss on our homes in Sacramento (another whopping 24% drop) making the net value to loan ratio nearly 3 to 1 on the 1 of 2 houses we own. Unfortunately the shear economics of the situation makes it impossible to keep the rental and so it must be returned to the bank. Its closing market value today was $205,000 and will probably hit the basement at $150,000 by the end of this year. Although our current home is doing a little better it continues to tank without the possibility of recapturing its loan to value. Projections show it would take 20 to 30 years to recapture its value. It’s sad to think that area we first lived in was at $630,000 at its peak and this one doesn’t look much better. Having those interest only loans really looks bad now that the housing market has gone south. Heck! It not only went south it has left the planet. Looks like those nice retirement nest eggs just got cracked, fried and eaten.
For those of you liberal democrats I thought about sharing this with you. And as for you sensible republican conservatives (like me) this is sent to give you a little humor. It is important to note that we are not looking for any financial assistance. Instead, for those of you in the lower tax bracket who will receive a tax break from Obama I just wanted you to know who is going to pay for it – yep you guessed it ME! I want you to meet a real Joe the Plumber (ME) and how he and his family are going to be affected by the Obama (Insane) Socialist Administration (if he gets elected and right now it looks like he is). You see I am one of those “Rich” (HA HA) business owners that Obama has targeted. He tells me that I need to have a tax increase so he can spread my wealth with the rest of the “Have Nots” (or should I say “Do Nots”) in this country that are looking for democratic handouts (as usual). It just seems odd that I get to have a tax increase while I loose two homes that we have worked very hard to acquire. At least McCain had enough sense to propose a plan to help me keep my house while Obama voted to help the Banks. I mean if the Bank gets my homes and gets to resale them and make hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest – just how are they losing and why do we need to give them our tax dollars? I would like Obama to explain that to me because as a licensed engineer trained in logic and scientific analysis – I just can’t make sense of it.
You see being in the Obama tax bracket now means that I get to navigate through a 29% to 39% gross income tax increase (on top of my self employment tax which is already a whopping 18%) while being required to adopt his Medical benefits plan that I will be forced to buy. Instead of the one that I pay for that already sucks the life out of my income (thank goodness for Socialized Medicine – NOT!). And if I don’t adopt his health plan I get to pay additional fines and penalties. Sometimes I wonder if you guys who love Obama just don’t get it or if your IQ’s suddenly dropped when I moved away from all of you. I just feel so special that I get to do my “Patriotic” duty and pay more of my income to another doomed government program instead of allowing me the sense to choose what is best for my business or my family. Does that sound like the land of opportunity to you? I have listened to many of you talk about how great it will be to have Obama as our next president so I thought I should thank you in advance for my tax increase and the new medical program I get to have. Do you think I can send the tax and medical bills to those of you that have or are planning on voting for him? Maybe we all as relatives can spread the wealth amongst all of us. It’s funny how we can support spreading the wealth when it’s somebody else’s. Oh and may I also add my thanks for your vote so my kids can now participate in abortions without my knowledge or objection. Now I won’t get into the abortion discussion because that will really get me going.
Anyway, hopefully there are enough sane people to keep this guy out of office because a tax increase during this economic meltdown is absolutely the wrong thing to do. I can do simple math and I know the last thing I need is negative cash flow. However, if you don’t believe me than just ask your employer what he thinks about our “new messiah” and how secure your jobs will be under the new socialist order. Of course there is the exception for you state and government employees who always benefit with bigger government plus you will get a tax break. But mark my words if he gets elected next year we will be talking about double digit unemployment.
In case you’re interested please read the article below about our current housing mess. It’s great reading about it but it’s even better living it. Next year we will be reading about unemployment under the Obama regime.

what war are you referring to that we need win? war on terrorism? please... We shouldn't be involved in any of these so called wars right now. we should be looking out for the best interest of the county as a whole.

1) Interest only mortgages are for the gullible or those who can see into the future. And, I have never met anyone who could see into the future. Might as well go to Vegas to gamble away your life savings. You may win, you may lose. (the true irony here is that interest only mortgages is liberal thinking, not conservative)
Buy only what you can afford, reinvest in your property. Don't gamble with adjustables if you're living paycheck to paycheck.
2) Obama AND McCain voted to help the banks, both are to blame. To top it all off, the companies getting the money will likely NOT re-finance troubled home owners while laying off employees at the same time. Just like when the airlines got their bailout after 9/11...then fired employees when they promised not to.
3) Self employment tax is to pay back FICA, SS and Medicare that EVERYONE has to pay (employee pays half, company pays half). Self proprietors do not collect a typical paycheck which is why that "tax" is there. That full amount is also taken out of the gross income (not on top of as suggested) for fed & state tax, which normal workers only get to deduct half that amount. It's also less than 18% AND only the first $90,000 is taxed. Still too much for you? Then start an LLC which a smart person would have done in the first place.
4) The "average joe" makes about $45,000 a year. Just gotta love people who make $150,000+ and cry poor. Those of us who are in between those numbers will get a tax break from either canditate
5) Don't even want to go through the health care misunderstandings in that rant. But, just like when the Dems tried to reform it in the late 90s, it won't happen. Too many, in BOTH parties, in the House and Senate are on the health care's bankroll.
6) If anyone out there has spare cash...invest soon (but smartly) or buy property (wait a year or so when people are desperate to sell)...profit off those who tried to live beyond their means. No socialism here, that's capitalism at it's finest!!!

If this guy is making good money then He need's to keep making the payment's that He agreed to with the mortgage company & not wait for someone to bail Him out! I highly doubt anyone was holding a gun to His head when He signed the loan document's and purchased these homes. If nore people that can afford to make their payment but choose to let it go back "because the loan to value ratio's suck's" then there would'nt be as many houses flooding the market which is why the prices of homes are so low. Don't want to sound like a heartless soul but why should We bail out anyone who chose to get into a bad mortgage? Most "not all" of the people who aquired homes with these shady loan's did'nt put any money down so they aer'nt really losing anything but the money which they have been paying toward's their monthly mortgage payment which they agreed to pay. There is alway's risk's involved when You are investing & sometimes You win and sometimes You lose. I own several homes and am taking a big loss Myself but I am not expecting or waiting for anyone to bail Me out.
