Pacman is going to mop Oscar. Moving up in weight and facing a top-tier fighter is a diff story. Oscar is a mere shadow of his former self. This fight is not dangerous for Pac at all. Freddie Roach said it best.

It'll be interesting to see what he can do at 147 pounds. Hopefully he'll have the strength and quickness still.

alot of people routing with there hart and not there brains(understandable)pac just when up 1 weight class now he has to go up another 2 more ...pac will have a good showing but in the end hes going to loose...look what happend in the castillo/corrales 2nd fight, and that was only 3-4 pond difference....
i dont blame pac for fighting him he wants to get paid...

i am hella excited about this fight i am not a daliy fan i only watch big time fights and it has been way too long since i have been excited about boxing. i think pacman will win but if oscar was in his prime oscar would have killed him. i think ocsar's lost step or two will be his downfall. but i would love of oscar to prove me wrong even though i think pacman will win i am still routing for oscar.

Paquaio (sp) is a puncher with no defense who will stand in front of oscar the entire time. I think Oscar will win this one with very few problems. I also happen to think that Oscar could beat margarito as well.win lose or draw look for Paquaio to fight maywether somtime next year.( maywether will mop the florr with paqauio)

we'll see about the oscar fight...mayweather may beat him, but i would not go to say "mop the floor with him"

Yea if Oscar was prime, even Freddie Roach said this would be a suicide fight for Pac. But since he is like 5 years removed from his prime, it will be a good victory for Pac. Pac is elusive in his own way, but I wouldn't say defenseless. And Mayweather would murder Pac. And I highly doubt Oscar could beat Margarito. Highly doubt. I dont think Oscar could beat Cotto for the fact. But thisis the best fight out there right now and should be a good one. Lots of action. This is going to elevate Pac to the hands down pound for pound, with no one else in sight of knocking him off. I'd like to see Mayweather v Williams. I think the taller welterweights would be the ones to give Mayweather issues. Anyone on par with him size wise will get handled.

Pac is NOT gonna beat De La hoya. Oscar was looking to make the most money possible and pacman brings the most money to the table. Margarito is NOT that good. he beat an overhyped Cotto (which I predicted he would) Honestly, when is the last time you have seen Oscar get beat by any mexican fighter? I will answer it for you NEVER! Oscar has problems with slick elusive boxer types I.E. Maywether, Mosely, Not guys who stand in front of him. I am willing to bet Oscar punches harder than Cotto and Margarito.

Oscar would lose to Margarito based on margaritos work rate if nothing else. Oscar always had issues with elusive (mayweather) and pressure (margarito) types. In his prime, no Margarito wont beat Oscar even with one hand behind his back. But now, and even 3-4 years ago. Margs would put em on Oscar. And for the same reason I think Pac will win. Stamina, work rate and conditioning. I dont think it will be a landslide, maybe split decision. But a "V" none the less.
Personally I thought Felix Strum whooped de la hoya. Reminded me of the Whitaker v Chavez robbery [ August 29, 2008, 01:15 PM: Message edited by: N8 ]

Pac is one of the best boxing entertainers right now. He's fast and strong for his weight class, and is very aggressive.
But I think fighting De La Hoya at 147, he's bitten of a little more than he can chew. And the speculation about fighting Mayweather? Please

fellahs, the mexicutioner got this one... oscars too old. he cant take the blows, he aint got that chin nomore. im a big time delahoya fan, but he shoulda just stayed out on top. i think, if he wins "IF" he wins, so what?! he beat someone that went up weight classES!! and if he loses, he lost to someone that "went to a gunfight with a knife".
Hey, history has it as my people (Filipinos) beat out magellan's guns and cannons (Spain) using shields and swords. hahahahahahahaha!!
GO MANNY.. i dont think its the money, and fame that got to him, to be the best, you gotta beat the best. he just aint no coward..

I'm thinking manny will win by decision. I usually just look foward to hear him talk, so me and my filipino friends can fall on the ground laughing because of how he sounds like either our FOB parents or uncles & aunties...
