but the dollar per mile will be a shitload cheaper.
personally I daily either of the cars in my sig, I get 18mpg beating the crap out of them daily, if your commute is all highway I get 25mpg out of both of them going 80 on cruise, I see no reason to pick a 4cyl foxbody over a v8 for the gas mileage...

Thanks for the info guys, yeah the Fit is an AWESOME car for the money, I sell them for a living... But you can't compare a Notch that I can get for dirt cheap to a new Fit...
The notch is an auto with low miles I'm getting from a friend. I get good mileage in my car on the highway but in the city I can't stay off the throttle so I get shit for mileage...

These are the specs from factory. Im guessing you can subtract some mpg's according to the age and condition of the engine.

Back in the late 1990's, I own a 91 fox 4cyl AT. It had over 140,000 miles and on average got between 30-35 mpg. Also, it was a hatchback. [ April 13, 2008, 12:00 PM: Message edited by: 1bdpone ]

22/29 is very acccurate. If you do a mix of city/highway, 25-26 is what you can expect.
If you do a good mix of city/highway, a fox 5.0 will get about 18 average (based on the 5 5-liters I have owned in the past 11 years)...
