Topic: Where did the good L's and HD's go?

I've looked at 10 different L's and HD's in the past 2 weeks.
None have been to my liking. Don't people take care of their vehicles?? I understand some of these cars are close to 10 years old (99 L's) but my 15-20 y/o cars I have right now I don't think are in that bad of shape.
I'm just frustrated of not being able find what I'm looking for and not having to pay an arm and a leg.
Wish I would have had some dough close to 3 yrs ago when I saw a 38K 01' on 22's from the original owner for 18K. Sell the 22's and get the stocks back on it and I would have been set.
Now it seems people want that much for 100K trucks. Don't get me started on dealerships either.
The cheapest one I've found so far is a 99 L with 120K for 12k.
*sigh*

I never said I expected to find one for 12k.
I drove 2 hrs today with 17K in hand for one thinking it was the one only to be dissapointed.
Even went to pitsburg diablo ford to check out the white 04 they have for 23k also dissapointed 42K seat boalster alread showing wear, gay ass hood scoop and 30 series tires on stock wheels. [ February 12, 2008, 01:43 AM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

Not my cup of tea sorry. The stock L or HD to me doesn't need anything besides a lowering to improve it's looks.

I think it looks sick. I just dont care for the ALL black wheels.. Black with polished lips would look sick, but nevertheless its a Badass L....

The Grey Lightning that was on sale here in Sac for $18k looked like a deal awhile ago.
Think it went to Carmax or something though.

That was mine. I sold it to a private party for 17k. I had a hard time selling it.

Went to go look at an 02' HD today.
Liked it ready to buy then I got accused of being a liar!
His internet price was 15,999 so I show up drive it inspect it all the while thinking he's asking 15,999 and then we start talking dollars and he's like 18,999 I'm like what???"...but I'll take 17K cash."
Wait a minute your price online is 15,999. "nope your lying that must be a different truck" Yeah I guess there is another one for 15,999 at this location. Needless to say I gave them the bird as I left for wasting my time and not honoring their posted price.
