I was thinking about puttin either a blower or a 75-100 shot on my foxbody and was wondering how much power the block can take before it splits

didn't check the resources but if you're talking 5.0 I hear 500hp is when they start splitting.

I won't drive it everyday per say. But I do plan on taking it on some cruises and stuff

my 88k mile cobra make 505 to the wheels at 6500rpm with a completely untouched bottom end. cast pistons and all. driven to the redline all day on pump gas in a 3500lb. car.
living on borrowed time? maybe.
as far as I'm concerned, detonation will kill any motor. no matter how good the components are. maintenance and common sense are the key.
my old shop has built spec type racers using the late model 302 block to the tune of 600 hp and 7700 rpm. and they last season after season. they only break when detonation is present.
