Bonds could face 30 years in prison for lying to the grand jury if convicted on all 5 counts.

I agree nothing will happen. I have never seen any proof he took steroids,(not just speculation)unless they have something no body knows about. It is just a waste of taxpayers money. I wish they would actualy use the money they waste on this to help the country.

Yep. They have no proof, the only proof they have is some guy who says he sold steroids to him and a washed out player who wanted to sell his book. Him getting bigger isn't proof either. If i worked out everyday for 10 years i'd put on muscle mass too. Now if he went from 150 to 250 in a year then i would say he did it. It took me 7 years to get from 140 to 230 and that was with creatine and lifting 5 days a week.

You are correct. I typed it that way first and then second guessed myself.

He was indicted in 2003 to testify AGAINST Balco...this time it's for LYING about being on steroids. No one is going to waste time like this if they didn't have enough evidence to go forth. This isn't a Duke rape trial by a NC prosecutor...
They'll pull his record. The home run ball doesn't have an astrik on it for nothing.

Disagree highly, we'll just have to wait and see. The record is his and will be his until someone breaks the record on the field not in a court room.

the ball has an asterick because of fans who voted to put it there. I have to say I did not vote at all. I have not followed the story did the guy put a asterick on it?

I highly dount Bonds will see one day in jail. I also highly doubt he will be found guilty. What i find very interesting is why the are not going after Rafael Palmeiro or Mark Mcguire? EVERYONE! know Palmeiro lied to a grand jury about ever being on roids and Mcguire? where should I begin.... It seems to me like a majority of baseball players were on roids in fact 54% of the people that have been linked to roids are pitchers!
