I've had my eyes set on a 96-98 cobra 4 a while. Is this a good price for it or not?

thats expensive. i would say for the condition i would pay no more than 7500. u can find some cleaner ones w/ about 60k miles around 10k.

I paid $8,900 for mine 2 years ago from alocal dealer with 88k miles...Although the car is pretty clean that price is too high. Not to mention the rims, rear spoiler, & exhaust tips dont look that good IMO.... I would keep looking unless u can get that for like 8k or sumthin... Be aware too that when u buy a used Cobra from a lot like that one, theres a big chance that its been wrecked b4, even with a clean carfax report. I know the 97 I bought had been in an accident & the carfax was squeaky clean & I bought it at one of those kind of lots....

Be prepared to pay another 150.00 a month in insurance. Those lot lizard shops get shitty cars that have been abused. Trust me I had a 98. I paid way too much for it.

At that price it better be immaculate, and it's not. Skip it.

My Cobra has a ton of upgrades and I'm selling for less than that..... skip it and keep looking. If you want a deal stay away from dealers and stay far away from little shit dealers like that one. You never know where that car came from or what its been through in its life.

Me too. When I purchased my 98 Cobra I paid 17,900 for it in 2003. Had 46,000 miles. Loved the car. Few weeks later it was sittin at HCI Motorsports with a spun rod bearing...

If you are looking for a used car like that your best bet is the For(d) sale section of this site, Craigslist, or AutoTrader.
I wouldn't buy anything from those used car lots. Oh yeah, $12k is a lot of $$$ for a 98 Cobra... especially with those rims
