I hate when people lie when selling a car, I sold this 90 GT to this dealership for $4000 and they painted it and now want $9900 for it, and they say it only has 60K original miles, when they know it has 160K miles.

i don't see how they could get away with it? i mean wouldnt't the mileage show on a carfax? hopefully the buyer is smart enough to ask for or get one...

Yeah i went there for a 1998 mustang gt like 2 months ago and they wanted $11,000 for a stock one with 102,000 miles. I just shook my head and walked out. I would never go there for a car AGAIN!!!

i hate how they give you about half of blue book and then try to charge twice blue book re-selling it. I know they have to run a business but day.
Or
When they try to sell a used car for about the same as a new one. ie Elk Grove honda. They have an 05 or 06 red f250 in the used lot asking $55,000. You can buy a new F450 from ford for about that price.

Yep some poor kid that does'nt know any better and want's to finance a "sport's" car will snap it up and end up paying over $15,000 "after finance charges" for a car that is only worth $4,000 & on top of that they will probably wreck , destroy, or run it into the ground within a year or 2 and still have another 2-3 year's worth of payment's. I just saw this happen to My bosses grandson with a 20000-2001 trans am that He spent over 15,000 dollar's from a small lot dealership and "supposedley" His freind's girlfriend wrecked it within 6 month's of Him getting the car. Plus He had already sideswiped someone before that & could barley afford to put gas in it after He made the insurance & payment on the car each month ![[Embarrassed]](redface.gif) . Sad thing was that Me and My boss told Him to get something cheaper, lower insurance, and better gas milage for His 1st car but?

That $#!t happens all the time. Probly nothing we can do, and I'm pretty sure they will get an offer close to the asking price. It happens everyday, and dealers get away with it. we need more consumer protection. Oh well... ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif)
