8 AM I laid down my bike. Took a right turn a bit faster than I guess I should have and coming out of it the was an olive tree that hung over the road. I'm guessing the cold morning dew + speed + olive oil + new rider = me sliding a good 15 feet down the road. No road rash on my just a bruised hip and $50 in bike damage. Ride safe bitches!!!! bummer that sucks at least your OK. Here is a little word of caution(passed to me buy a very good rider) Right turns caution left turns go like hell. That actualy has alot more to do with gravel but works in most situations because you can view a left a little better.

You seem to be in good spirit, which is good. But be a little more careful, cause next time you could be across the double yellow with an oncoming car/truck/big rig smacking you head on.

Glad your ok.
If you ride you crash it’s just the nature of the beast. But your ok and it does not seem that your bike is too damaged. Use this as a learning experience to make progress in your riding skills.
Ride safe.

I'm in Fremont. I try and go on Sundays.
I laid it down kinda how a fizbie lands on the ground. Just kind of slid. I was wearing jeans but they have no marks on them. I have a supper duty jacket that took the brunt of everything but barley is marked. Bike is a learner 250 ninja so I'm in great spirits and am glad to get a fall under my belt before I got a better bike.
I ride really carefully but am very much still a noob. There was no warning of a fall,...I was just up one second then down the next but once I was down I knew all the reasons why.
Thanks guys...I promise not to become a statistic.

I live in Novato. I don't have a bike right now, but I'm picking up a VFR750 this week. A bunch of guys at work ride, so maybe we can hook up a group. Just today in the lot, there were 2 CBRs, an R6, Gixxer 750, and a TransAlp. Half of the bikes didn't even show up.
