Their is a shop in San Carlos or RWC called "Clear Armor" (I believe Jerry Rice owns it). It runs along 101 near Best Buy. I have heard nothing but GREAT things about that place. Look them up or I'll try and get the # for you tomorrow,

What do these places charge in general? Can they be removed without any evidence on the paint?

With the prices they charge I would rather repaint the bumper if its that bad. I heard the film will start showing its age after a few years. Also I believe there on for good and cannot be removed. [ August 20, 2007, 11:55 PM: Message edited by: forced331 ]

i've heard both sides of the story, I've heard some people say that it will fade, others say that if you use cheap material no doubt it will fade, but if you use proven a bit more costly stuff it wont. It can be removed. i know some cheap plastics can even get swirl marks, where some don't.
I rather pay a little more and go to a place with a warranty where if something happens i know they'll honor their no fade, no bubbles policy.
This won't be for the cobra, that bumper is beyond clear bra hope.

i took my trailblazer ss, my brother's C6, and my sister's C5 there and they did an awesome job. they do a lot of work with exotic cars. it's a bit on the expensive side compared to other places, but the quality is there. get a couple of cars for an appointment and offer to pay cash to get a discount. they use venture shield film and it comes with a lifetime warranty. these types of film can be removed if need be.
