Today I attempted to have my 92 LSC smogged and the 3 places I took it to refused to smog it as I have a Magnaflow 2 cat h-pipe on it. They all say the book says I'm supposed to have 4 cats. Even the Ford dealer shows the current replacement h-pipe as having only 2 3-way cats. The 4 cat h-pipes are obsolete. Anyone know of a place in Sac that knows what the hell they are doing and can smog my car with my legal replacement h-pipe?

Yeah I ran out of time for the day to hit some more shops. My usual smog guy in Elk Grove has had his machine broken for 3 days so I tried getting it done somewhere else. I'll probably wait it out till he gets his fixed.

I have that problem every time with both my foxes. Try to find an import smog shop, they tend to not know as much (or care) about domestics. I have less problem with import shops. Or if you have a mechanic or performance shop you go to frequently, ask them for a recommendation. Or give it to them to smog, some shops will take care of it for you by taking your car to the smog shop.

all the shops near me that are run by asians dont seem to really care about the visual. i passed with a charger, hflow cats, no carb EO intake, etc. however, the sniffer was clean.
