John, very interesting. I have a number of questions
1.) what front/rear fenders are you using? Would love to hear some details on this
2.) if you don't mind, how much were those 335 18 Michelin Pilot Sports. I have those same tires on my 93, and they are some of the most expensive tires on the market, and you have one of the largest tires sizes you can buy
3.) what is your rear rim width?
You should post this on the corral, they will get a kick out of it and appreciate...

1. I'm using maier racing 1.5 front fender. an 1.5 rear qrt panel. I havent finsihed or say have someone finish the rear body work for me.
2.lets just say those rear are around upper $400's new. I got two used tires of ebay. for the price of one if not cheaper.
3. i'm running 18x10.5 on all for corners. the 10.5 isnt even recomended for that tires size but i think it looks nice on there. if u used say a 11.5 rim than those 335's would look huge just like the vipers.

Looks sick. Do you have to change to another rear bumper since the flares don't seem to match from that rear view?

ya I'm thinking they made the flares to mate up to the gt rear bumper.

what did you have to do to install those rear fenders?
How much do those things run?
I assume you had to completely hack your stock fenders up?

How about going with the 3 inch rear fender from Maier, use a 99-04 rearend, and have the wheels widened to 18x12
Here is the 3 inch rear flare fender that they offer.
Very unique project John!

I originally bought the 3" front fenders. an it looked like it swallowed my 10.5 rims. I'm running a complete sn95 front set up. it has sn95 lower arm an 96+ spindals an right now the fronts have a 1/4inch spacer on front that i might be taking off. so thats pretty much the widest u can go with. as for the rear. the svo rear is just about the same as an sn95 but with a vented rear disk an bigger rotors.

Those 335's actually look relatively square on the 10.5" rim. I would have expected them to have quite a bit more overhang than what I am seeing.
There is a guy on the corral that is using 335/30/18 Pilots on a fox coupe with stock fenders, but he had to mini-tube...
It looks incredibly unique having the rear tires so close together, lol (looking from the back of the car)
So John, what is the car used for? Is this the daily driver? Only issue with that is replacing the tires is gonna be $$$

Ya its my daily driver right now. but i want to get the suspension done to take some corners in this little rocket. I got an kenny brown panhard ball for it but waiting for an 8.8 to put in it. Right now i just screwed the rear panels on an havent cleared the stock qrts yet.

Hey John, no worries...Damn, it was fine even after you drove it without coolant for that long?!!!!!...lol...I'm glad your car's fine though....
Don't forget to close your PCV line....Plug the intake and put a breather on the PCV line...Oh yeah, the hole in your flared 1/4's for your gas filler too!!!!!....

Just be glad you didn't buy those huge tires in the 80's. Regular 225/60-15 Gatorbacks were almost $200 ea
