not link two because parts are expensive if they go bad and it's gonna be a pita to maintain if you have to put any time and effort into and then $$. can't see link 1.

Link one is the same. Not as clean, beige interior, cheaper.

"If" you'll be able to afford the maintenance on the BMW I'd say opt for the 740

they both have almost 200k miles. why would you buy a car for 6-7k that will only probably last a year?

Im not sure that a mustang is an option right now. Especially cause of insurance. I have a reckless driving and exabition of speed within a week of eachother. A turn lane for passing violation, prvisional with passengers, an 85 in a 50.

Get a 4 cylnder like an Accord or something that. Of course it wont be the nicest car on the block but it will give you low insurance, good gas milage, last you a while, parts are cheap for the most part, and if you buy right you can get what you paid IMO, plus you said you need to lay low for a while. I would not consider a BMW low key car even if it is dated. I would consider not driving at all or getting a small pickup truck, civic, accord and the like.

Avoid BMW 7series like an STD. A friend's parents bought one new back in 2004 and sold it within a year because they were tired of taking it in for stuff that kept breaking.
BTW, they bought it because their prior car, which was also a BMW, threw a rod while they were in Reno
If you want low key (but still fast) you should look into one of these

agreed. Don't waste your money on a BMW, unless you want to be a shitty driver and piss everyone off when you either cut them off or drive too damn slow

although its cool to tell your friends you drive a BMW, do you realize what happens when something breaks on those cars???
Your bank account GETS RAPED!!!
With almost 200K miles on the clock, shit is going to start to need replacing if it hasn't already.
Ever heard the following...
Just because you can afford to buy a __________ does not mean you can afford to own a __________

Thanks for the ideas guys. But I also want something nice. I was thinking of a 7 series cause they are nice cars with a little get up and go yet when you see one you figure its a 55 year old man in the drivers seat.

THats a good one right there.. Or, go for a 6cyl stang for the insurance companies, and drop a V8 in it...Hell, my first stang was originally a 6cyl 86...Insurance was dirt cheap, then the 5.0 got dropped in...

Have you ever did a Head Gasket on a Taurus? It is the biggest POS you can imagine. Some people drop the whole front end to do it or just sell it altogether. At least the non-sho is what I've worked on.
An SHO is not fast at all either. Just get a reliable 4-banger like a Civic because if you get in trouble again with moving violations you might lose your license for multiple years AND pay fines up the ass.

No offense but the last thing you need is something "with a little get up". Look at your driving record!
