I finally got the stock bullet wheels off my cobra and put on some chrome ones. I am very happy with the setup. No rubbing and still have my quad shocks. Wheels are 18\10 18\9 and back tires are 295\35 bfg drag radials. Fronts are 275\35 nitto 555's. Car looks much better and now has the stance I was looking for. All wheels and tires I purchased on ebay and spent 1700 after mounting and balancing.

BFG drag radials on the front? Besides I am a big fan of the trpile 5's and wish they made a dr that was the size I wanted for the rear. What can ya do? BTW just an fyi my 275\40 et streets were a little stickier than the bfg drag radials. [ April 05, 2007, 12:38 AM: Message edited by: 9cobrasnake9 ]

It doesn't matter what I think, it's your car...But sorry, I don't like them....IMO it doesn't suit the theme of a 96 Cobra...They'd look better on a 60's car...I associate those wheels with AR Torque Thrusts...Atleast you got the stance you were looking for and the offset looks good...
To each his own

yeah looks good but not a big fan. Thats why went with saleens I think they are one of the better looking wheels for our body style. I love my 315 bfg drag radials these things hook.

looks good but not a big fan of chrome bullits. either black or anthracite would look good on a mystic in my opinion. chrome saleens would be even better.

Ya I debated over the saleens i like them too. But I have always loved torq thrusts and bullits on 96-04's. And I am a big fan of chrome. Thanks for the comments all/

The first picture you posted doesn't look good at all. The rims don't look like they belong on that car but all the other ones are fine and they look good. I don't know why the 1st picture looks so weird to me. I was thinking of going with either deep dish black bullets or chrome ones on my 68 Fastback. The chrome ones look really good.

I thought the same thing when i saw the first pic. I almost thought for a second that the rims belonged on an '05+ because the spokes seem so fat from the reflection i think.
That mystic would be even more badass if it sat about an inch and a half lower

Hell no, they make a BFG regular tire that matches the DR's. Heres the LINK

Thats funny I didnt know they made a matching tire. It actually never occured to me to look. I have always loved the way the triple 5's handled compared to the cost. I would have gotten the rear nittos in dr but they didnt make a size that I liked for my car. I wish I could lower it more but I scrape right now just pulling in my driveway if I dont come in right. Its all good thanks for all the input all! [ April 09, 2007, 12:56 AM: Message edited by: 9cobrasnake9 ]
